This is one of the main religious monuments in the town, being the current plan the result of the last extension ordered by Catalina Fernández de Córdoba, Marchioness of Priego. For the construction, a quarrel was opened by the church, as high as the church itself. The construction includes a bell tower, built on top of an older one, and a wall section from the medieval fortress.
