Example of the intense historical past of Santaella is the fortified wall which surrounds the Villa Neighborhood or Lower Neighborhood. This corresponds to the Muslim period, late 12th century, Almohads’ work. Between the door and the tower, we find a baroque construction with façade and balconies made of bricks, headquarters of the old City Hall. It is protected by Spanish Historical Heritage’s Law.
